Vacuum Food Sealers Review

One of the top brands of vacuum food sealer is Foodsaver. Tilia (Foodsaver) requires, "Channel Bags '. These are specially manufactured for Tilia developed by' Sorbent system. They are multi-layer bags designed to hold a vacuum.

My Foodsaver is too old to even have a model number. It works just like the day I bought it. It is heavier than an anvil, but it works as advertised, and it has a vacuum port for accessories. The only ones I have areAdapter to evacuate. "Mason jars" food bacteria do not live in a high vacuum. I do not use my Foodsaver 'more. My Foodsaver thoroughly crush an aluminum beverage can.

Another brand of vacuum sealer is the Sinbo VS 280 from Sorbent Systems. It uses a vacuum system different then Tilia. It is a snorkel system. That is, it has a very flat retractable tube that inserts into the top of the bag allows a seal to occur that support the evacuationthe bag. It will evacuate and seal "Ziploks" quite successful. However, "Ziploks" are not strong enough, nor are they designed to hold a vacuum. My VS280 is also a crowd of aluminum can, but perhaps not quite as flat as the Foodsaver does. The difference is hard to say. I have no idea what the vacuum in mm Hg, I see no difference in life expectancy in the freezer.

You can 6 "x 8" and 8 "X 12" bags from Sorbent Systems in quantities of 400 (200 pieces). These bags are toat least as reliable as the Tilia bags and much cheaper. I do not care to wash them, and I use a lot of them. As drawn, the Tilia bags, my typical kind of warm-up, frozen food is put a bag in a pot with water and cook for a few minutes. Beware of possible front of your computer to take liquids in the vacuum of the engine. My belly VS280 has risen for this reason. (Damn demon rum). I will order a new future. They are cheap, I saw the last time. I can querythe company about repairing it, but it does not seem to be much support for this little machine has.

My first seal was a Tilia (Food Saver) and the ones I own now is a Black & Decker (B & D). Even if they say you can use "most of the bags from other manufacturers, I found a gallon-sized Tilia bags were 1 / 2 inches wide and not so easy to use. Keep comparing the 2 machines, my overall vote would go, which was Tilia (Foodsaver), it is faster and the bags seemed to be better sealed. My B & DProblems with the larger pockets of their own. They just do not seal as well.
